Shelter Picks: Tank

By Sammy Johnson

Tank is one of those amazing dogs that had a really tough time in his life but is still very gentle, happy and sweet. He is a 4-year-old Bluetick Coonhound and may be a former hunting dog. In April, someone found Tank walking along the side of a road, basically almost dead because he was starving. He was skin and bones and had very dry skin from not getting the right food to eat. Now he looks so much better! He is a cool-looking dog because he has patches of black, white and brown and two cute brown dots over his eyes. He is great with kids and loves to play with other dogs. He has a very low-pitched bark when he gets excited, but he never jumped up on me or got at all rough. He needs a home with a yard that has space for him to run around. He also has a dry eye condition and needs daily eye drops, but that's no big deal because Animal Aid will cover the cost of those for the rest of his life. I hope someone sees the greatness in Tank and shows him what a loving home feels like.
