Davis had been fielding offers for the Mediterranean-style spread since late 2016, when he listed the home for sale at $2.85 million, records show.
The three-story home sits on over an acre in San Jose, taking in panoramic views from two wraparound decks that span both upper levels.
Built in 2008, the house boasts a 7,250-square-foot floor plan that includes a chandelier-topped foyer, two family rooms and a formal living and dining room. Cherry island cabinets line the chef’s kitchen, which is anchored by a 9-foot-long island. Other amenities include a wine cellar, billiards room, wet bar and den.
Five fireplaces, including a two-way fireplace in the master suite, are spread throughout the home. In total, there are six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.
In the backyard, a covered patio opens to an outdoor dining area and spa. A 400-square-foot cabana sits adjacent.
Robert R. Fernandez of Altas Realty handled both ends of the deal.
Last year, Davis sold a condo in Marina del Ray for $850,000. He was using the two-bedroom unit as an investment property, leasing it out for about $5,500 a month.
Davis, 33, has two Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl championship under his belt. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2006, and since then, has recorded 548 receptions for 7,072 yards.
He signed a three-year extension with the Washington Redskins in March worth $15 million.
