The Walker and the Weisman, Minneapolis

You can't go wrong with the twin bill of the Walker Art Center and its collection of more than 40 outdoor sculptures by Oldenburg, DiSuvero, Moore and others, and the Weisman Art Museum (pictured) — a.k.a. the "baby Bilbao" — which just celebrated its 20th anniversary on the campus of the University of Minnesota. If you can, see both. If time — or attention spans — are short, choose the Frank Gehry-designed Weisman and its 2011 addition (also by Gehry) that nearly doubles the exhibition space for the permanent collection of more than 17,000 works.
