Military Through the Ages: Hundreds of re-enactors come together to depict the history of armed forces, from the fifth century through modern warfare. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Jamestown Settlement. $17 for adults, $8 kids 6-12.

Bid ‘n’ Buy Auction: The largest fundraiser for Child Development Resources returns for its 40th year with live and silent auctions, food, a petting zoo and other activities. 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Jamestown High School, 3751 John Tyler Highway. Free admission.
