Saint Patrick’s Day doesn’t just mean green beer and more corned beef hash than you can stomach if you live in Williamsburg; it also means a weekend full of fun things to do.

Here’s this year’s roundup of Saint Patrick’s Day events around the area:

Activities

Rose and Sword Academy of Irish Dance: The dancers from Rose and Sword Academy of Irish Dance will perform a free show on Saint Patrick’s Day. They will be accompanied by music from the band Clan MacCool. 3:30-5 p.m. Sunday, Williamsburg Library, 515 Scotland St. Free.

Celtic Worship Service: This worship service features music from Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Guest musicians Su Tarr and Gabe Stone, who specialize in historical and folk music, will perform at the service. 10:15-11:30 a.m. Sunday, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 7479 Richmond Road. Free.

St. Patrick’s Day Brunch: Waypoint Seafood and Grill will serve a special Irish brunch to celebrate the day. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Waypoint Seafood & Grill,1480 Quarterpath Road. Reservations suggested; call 220-2228.

St Patrick’s Day Two Day Par Tay: Sportsmans Grille will serve up corned beef and cabbage and all the fixings, Jameson and green beer all weekend. 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sportsmans Grille, 240 McLaws Circle. Free.

Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration: Fill up on leprechaun food such as corned beef brisket and cabbage, bangers and mash and green velvet Irish whiskey cake. The Balladeers also will provide live Irish music to help you jam out while you digest. 5-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 5-9:30 p.m. Sunday, Aberdeen Barn, 1601 Richmond Road.

Music

Everybody Loves Tequila: This band will rock out Saturday night for anyone who wants to start celebrating the holiday a wee bit early — and responsibly of course. 9 p.m. Saturday, Oceans and Ale, 5601 Richmond Road. Free.

Live music at Craft 31: What’s Saint Patrick’s Day without a good tune? Enjoy your favorite menu items as well as live Irish music. 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Craft 31, 3701 Strawberry Plains Road. Free.

Party for Patty

Shamrock the Burg: The Kiwanis Club’s annual festival celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day will have traditional Irish music, dancers and food. All proceeds benefit Avalon, Big Brothers and Sisters and the United Way. 4:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday Williamsburg Community Building, 401 N. Kiskiack Golf Club’s St. Patrick’s Day Party: With green beer, an Irish buffet and a live performance from the Rose and Sword Irish Dance Academy, this party has everything you need to celebrate the holiday. Don’t forget to put on your greenest threads — those wearing the best Saint Patrick’s Day outfits will win a special prize. 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Kiskiack Golf Club, 8104 Club Drive. St. Patrick’s Festival: Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day at Billsburg Brewery with green beer and special prices on pints all day. DJ Jay will spin Irish tunes during the day and Hangar 09 will perform live at night. Billsburg will also host their annual Half Penny Parade and a new Beer Mile Run. Billsburg Brewery, 2054 Jamestown Road. Free.

Shake Your Shamrocks at The Cannon: There will be live music by Fiddler’s Green, the food truck Carmen’s Authentic Jamaican Cuisine, a special beer release and the opening of a brand new event lounge. 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Brass Cannon Brewing, 5476 Mooretown Road. Free.

Follow the Liter St. Patrick’s Bar Crawl: This crawl covers four bars, each with drink specials. Registration fees get you an event t-shirt, ride on the bus, drinks on the bus and discounts on drinks at the bars. Bus meets at 7:15 p.m Saturday, Days Inn, 706 Bypass Road. $35; register at 650-0416 or 342-3893. A night at the Days Inn is $39 per room with a $30 donation being made to Juvenile Diabetes Research for every room booked. You can also get a pickup and drop-off service to your home for an extra $20.
