Frederick Douglass ‘On Slavery and Emancipation’: Frederick Douglass will share true tales of his life as a slave and recite an excerpt from his most famous speech, “What to the Slave is the 4th of July,” followed by a Q&A session. 2 p.m. Sunday at the Williamsburg Regional Library, 515 Scotland St. Free.

Intelligent Lives: The documentary stars three pioneering young American adults with intellectual disabilities who challenge perceptions of intelligence as they navigate high school, college and the workforce. Following the movie, there will be a distinguished panel and an open community discussion. 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kimball Theatre, 428 Duke of Gloucester St.. The Williamsburg Music Club presents John Bullard: an extraordinary banjoist and composer who has transcribed classical music for the five-string banjo.
