6 4th of July Car Show: Show is open to all makes and models. Trailer parking will be available. 4 Hot Dogs and Shelter Dogs: This hot dog eating contest will raise money for the Heritage Humane Society’s homeless pets. 3 Captain Brewster's Kids: Join the ranks with Captain Brewster and train to defend Jamestown. As a new recruit, learn the manual of arms for the halberd — “a most ancient and honorable pole arm” — and then march in the grand parade inside James Fort. 2 African American Interpretation: Present: This event showcases the craft of African American historical interpretation and examines its role in today’s society. Colonial Williamsburg historical interpreters will give presentations on the subject and then host a discussion. 5:30 p.m. Friday, Hennage Auditorium at the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg, 326 W.
