Six craft distilleries. Five food trucks. Five artisans. One beer tent, and one live band.
The Williamsburg Distillery hopes this is a winning formula for its first Virginia Distiller’s Festival on Saturday.
Organized as a way to promote craft distilling in Virginia, the festival features Vitae Spirits Distillery, KO Distilling, Cirrus Vodka, MurLarkey Distilled Spirits, Belle Isle Craft Spirits and, of course, Williamsburg Distillery.
The lineup might grow by one more distillery on Saturday, though that’s not confirmed, said Lexi Godfrey, an intern at Williamsburg Distillery who’s taken over planning the festival.
Regardless, it’s likely attendees will find enough to satisfy their tastes. For $30 admission, the festival allows unlimited tastings of cocktails and spirits.
There’s even the chance to taste rum-infused cupcakes, imagined by Stephanie Rolla of Sinful Treats bakery. Other offerings include barbecue, burritos and beer from Alewerks.
Godfrey said the festival is excited to welcome Brittany Marie, an up-and-coming country artist who has opened for Scotty McCreery and The Band Perry, among other musicians. She’ll perform during the festival.
A rain date is set for Aug. 27.
Bridges can be reached by phone at 757-345-2342.
