Ahead of the Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center’s annual juried regional show returning for its second year in October, the gallery is accepting applications from artists interested in competing.

The show is open to WCAC members and all artists in Virginia. Applicants can submit up to three digital images representing artwork in any medium.

Abstract artist Ken Wright is serving as the juror who will select the artwork included in the show.

Cash prizes range from $100 for awards of excellence to $500 for best in show. Notifications will be mailed to winners Sept. 21.

Applications are due at the gallery by 3 p.m. Aug. 24. Images of artwork may be saved to a flash drive or CD, or emailed to visitWCAC@gmail.com. The entry fee is $35. For applications and more info, visit bit.ly/2KA8Xvh.

Awards will be announced to the public at the artists’ and members’ awards reception, which runs 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the gallery.

The second annual juried regional show runs Oct. 18-Nov. 16 at Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center, 110 Westover Ave. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
