2018 WSO League Annual Meeting Highlights Year’s Accomplishments

The Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra (WSO) League Annual Meeting May 20, 2018 celebrated this season's accomplishments, to include the raising over $27,000 at the League's Spring Gala in support of the WSO educational and performance programs. Frank Cubillo headlined "An Evening of Sinatra with Frank Sings Frank" and student violinist Caleb Song introduced the paddle raise to inspire the generous supporters of the WSO. Many thanks to the event committee (See above with Frank Cubillo, L-R: Ken Mitchell, Joan Brockenbrough, Marie Mamikonian, and Paul Try. Cecie Adolphi and Doug Wood not shown) for making this a terrific evening for all. [Photography by Kim Kiely] The League's Encore Affairs, co-chaired by Cindy Southworth and Annette Thompson, raised nearly $17,000 and the 'Own Your Own Orchestra' program led by Lynda Sharrett raised over $6,000. A special presentation was made to Betty Williams for her 15 years of dedicated League service in support of the WSO. The volunteer services of all attending were highlighted and Board members elected.
