Audrey B. Smith Named Executive Director, Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg

The Board of Directors of Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg proudly names Audrey B. Smith as their new Executive Director. Ms. Smith, who has been the Executive Director of Advancement for Hampton Roads Academy in Newport News, VA since 2007, brings a strong background in leading nonprofit organizations as well as a long time involvement with Hospice House. Ms. Smith is replacing Linda Taylor Stallings, who has retired after 32 years with the organization. "We are sincerely grateful for Linda Taylor Stalling's leadership and her commitment to our mission as Hospice House has grown with our community over the years. We know that Linda will continue to be an important part of our organization as she enjoys her well deserved retirement. We are also confident that Audrey will be a very strong leader as we continue the traditions of compassionate care for those facing end of life, and the support of their families and friends through the many services we offer," noted Dave Kilgore, Chairman of the Board.

Prior to Hampton Roads Academy, Ms. Smith was the Associate Vice President of Advancement for Christopher Newport University, Executive Director of Council for America's First Freedom in Richmond, VA and was Co-Founder of CommonWealth Consulting Group in Williamsburg, VA.

Ms. Smith has a B.A. in Political Science from Denison University and will assume her new position August 13, 2015. She and her family live in Williamsburg.
