British pop rock invasion and BBQ offer fun for all

It's time for a celebration of live music and good eats!

On Saturday, July 14, a farm in Toano will turn into a benefit for Latisha's House Annual BBQ & Boogie. Bring the whole family and dance to songs like "Let's do the Twist", "Here Comes the Sun" and popular music by the Beatles, Beach Boys, and Chubby Checkers performed by the Hullabaloos, a British Pop and Rock invasion band.

From 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., locals and tourists alike can nosh on Bubba & Frank's All You Can Eat BBQ and all the fixings while enjoying the live music. Kids will enjoy prizes and games.

With a belly full of barbecue, a heart full of good music, and water games for the kids, nothing says summer in Williamsburg like time spent at a back yard farm.

Latisha's House is a Williamsburg-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and helping women who are victims of sex trafficking. The event will take place at 8850 Merry Oaks Lane in Toano and includes soft drinks and ice tea, beer from the VA Beer Company, a corn-hole tournament and live music from the Hullabaloos, a British pop rock invasion band. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children ages 11 and younger. Tickets can be purchased online at or at the door. Call 757-346-5344 for more information.
