C.A.R chapter wins State Awards

Members of the George Wythe Society, National Society Children of the American Revolution attended the 92nd State Conference March 9-10th at the Williamsburg Lodge. Society President Avery Quarles and Vice President Franklin West were joined by members of the Williamsburg Chapter NSDAR for the awards banquet. The local George Wythe Society had an outstanding year and was honored by receiving state awards for Best Society Program, Best Essay on family connection to World War I (Franklin West), Best Program on Veterans Records, Most Community Service Hours, highest monetary contribution donated to the State President's Project "Building Detectives" Program at the Robert Carter House in Colonial Williamsburg and Best C.A.R./DAR/SAR/SR Relations.
