Daily Press reporter speaks to Kiwanis about women in the NASA workforce at Langley

Jane Hammond, education reporter for the Daily Press, recently presented a program to the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital about the women mathematicians, scientists, and engineers who have helped NASA in their work on aeronautics and space research at Langley Air Force Base. The book, "Hidden Figures" highlights the work done by several African American women, who worked there in the early work on space flight. The current work force at NASA Langley now has 28% women who continue this activity. Pictured above are Jane Hammond and Club member and program sponsor Mitch Farkas.
