The Williamsburg Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution were honored to take part in the Virginia Thanksgiving Festival at Berkeley Hundred in Charles City. Many hours were spent prior to the event preparing materials for the special day celebration. Daughters assisted hundreds of guests with candle dipping, colonial writing and dancing, making sweet bags and corn husk dolls and serving as hostesses. The Daughters were honored to assist in the commemoration of America's First Official English Thanksgiving with Berkeley Plantation and to further preserve and promote American history and education.
