DAR presents Community Service Award

Williamsburg Daughters of the American Revolution were honored to present Lt. Col. Lafayette Jones (USA Ret.) with the DAR Community Service Award and pin at the November chapter meeting.
He is the chairman of the James City County Historical Commission and volunteers at the Jamestown Foundation and National Park Service. Colonel Jones has been a zealous voice and advocate for sharing African American history in our region for many years and was involved with the initial planning for the development and design of Freedom Park.
