FIFTH ANNUAL BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL IN THE WILLIAMSBURG BOTANICAL GARDEN

FIFTH ANNUAL BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL IN THE WILLIAMSBURG BOTANICAL GARDEN

It is with great excitement that Williamsburg Botanical Garden offers to our community the fifth annual Butterfly Festival at the Williamsburg Botanical Gardens at Freedom Park on August 3rd and 4th, from 9:00-4:00 each day. Funding for this program has been made possible through the generous support of the Green Spring Garden Club Inc. This festival has several parts, but the main and most exciting focus will be two butterfly tents with hundreds of butterflies enjoying those hot August days. These tents and butterflies, provided by Virginia Master Naturalist Catherine Short, will offer a wonderful opportunity for both children and adults to see hundreds of native butterflies up close. To educate and entertain the whole family, there will also be children's crafts and educational programs for all ages of butterfly enthusiasts throughout the two days. Speakers' topics will include the monarch's migration, butterflies and plants they need, how we can help butterflies survive, and other interesting topics. Admission is free but a $5 donation to the Williamsburg Botanical Garden at Freedom Park to help the garden grow would be appreciated. Please come join us as we celebrate summer and our beautiful native butterflies on Saturday and Sunday, August 3rd and 4th. For more information, contact J.
