Ford's Colony named community association of the year by CAI

The Ford's Colony Homeowners Association was awarded the 2018 Community Association of the Year Award by the Central Virginia Chapter of the Community Associations Institute at the chapter's November annual meeting in Richmond.

In making the award, the Central Virginia Chapter of Community Associations Institute highlighted the gated community's resident communications, multiple outreach programs to new residents, security support efforts and resident volunteer self-governance structure.
Ford's Colony is a self-governed, multi-generational planned community with over 5,400 residents.

As current FCHOA Board President Bob Moeller noted, "Even though our community was founded over 30 years ago and was named to the national CAI Hall of Fame over two decades ago, we have strived to continuously maintain this standard of excellence and are delighted to again be recognized."

The Central Virginia Chapter, serving Richmond, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville and Williamsburg, provides education, networking, resources and advocacy for community associations and the professionals and volunteers who serve them.
