Free Roof Giveaway Will Provide Roof to Local Resident

Voting now open at

WILLIAMSBURG, VA - STREAMLINE ROOFING today announced four finalists have been selected in its 1st annual No Roof Left Behind TM community program.

Ashley Springer of Williamsburg

Ashley is the mom of two young boys, creating a home for them by herself. Ashley has overcome a lot of adversity and has worked very hard to get herself into her first home. As with many older homes, there are items that need attention. As soon as Ashley moved in, she needed to update/replace her heating and cooling system. Shortly after that, her water heater sprung a leak and needed to be replaced. Her roof does leak. In fact, she keeps a hole in her bathroom ceiling so that water can drain out without causing more damage to the ceiling. After all of this, there is simply no more money for a roof.

Denise Edlow of Williamsburg

"I could write a book about my life but I'm still better off than the person with no roof over their head," says Denise. Denise left her customer service job to care for her ailing father, mother and brother, all of whom have now passed. She's trying hard to get back into the work force, and she moved into her father's old house, where she does have a roof over her head. But it rains in the bathroom right into the bathtub, and the leak in the bedroom threatens to break through the ceiling any day. Denise would be so thankful if she could replace the tarp over her roof with a new roof for her house!

Tashawndae Baker of Toano

As soon as you meet Tashawndae you'll know she has a heart of gold. She's a working single foster mom who just handed her one-year-old foster child back to his mother after raising him since he was only 6 weeks old. Her home is still open to him whenever his mother needs some help - Tashawndae keeps her foster children and their mothers in her heart long after the children leave her home. Her modest house is comfortable and child-friendly, but she's in desperate need of a new roof and an upgrade of her heating system - this winter it was hard to keep the house heated for the baby, and Tashawndae was thankful her decrepit roof held up to the rain and snow one more winter!

Catherine Dunn of Williamsburg

Catherine has recently purchased a home for herself and her daughter. Catherine has been looking for a home she could afford in the Williamsburg area for a year to raise her child near family and be close to work. Unfortunately, the trade off to buying in a neighborhood and school district she desired meant buying a house that needs lots of work including a new roof. She is not concerned about taking on a fixer -upper nor impatient about taking on projects as money is available. Mostly, Catherine is just thankful and grateful to be able to provide her daughter, Lilah, with a home in a community that has so much to offer. Please consider her for a new roof to make her journey a little easier as she gets a fresh start in Williamsburg.

One of these community members will receive a free roof from Streamline Roofing. The public is invited and encouraged to read the finalists' stories and vote for their favorite at

"We had an incredible number of wonderful nominees this year. The process to narrow to the final four was extremely challenging," said Jeff Skinner. "Our finalists are all very deserving and we look to our community to help us pick our winner with their votes."

"A number of our fellow local businesses have come forward to show their support for this initiative that directly helps our residents. We're thrilled to have them as partners in this program.
