Hargett named Chesapeake Bank Director

Kilmarnock, VA. Chesapeake Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Daniel L. Hargett to its Board of Directors. In making the announcement, Jeffrey M. Szyperski, Chairman, CEO & President, commented, "Dan brings to us a wealth of business and market knowledge and experience, especially in Richmond, and we are excited to have him on our board. He has a lengthy history with Chesapeake as he grew up in the Northern Neck and interned at Chesapeake Bank while attending college. In 2016, he became a member of our Richmond Business Advisory Board."
Hargett is a principal with Rebkee, a Richmond-based real estate development company. He joined Rebkee from Archon Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. While at Archon, Hargett sourced investment opportunities on behalf of a series of real estate opportunity funds. His responsibilities included land acquisition, management of development projects, and portfolio acquisition and underwriting. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Hargett worked with Thalhimer, Cushman and Wakefield. At Thalhimer he conducted site selection for tenants that included Wal-Mart, Home Depot, CVS Health and Food Lion.
Hargett is a member of the Richmond Real Estate Group and the VCU Real Estate Circle. He also serves on the boards of Christchurch School and the Central Virginia ToolBank. He holds a BA from Randolph Macon College and an MBA from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Dan and his wife, Kelly, and their four children are residents of Richmond and own a second home in the Northern Neck.
