The Colonial Virginia Holly Society will meet on October 27, 2018 at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) Waterman's Hall. Gordon Chappell, renowned landscape architect, will discuss the use of hollies in a home landscape garden. Mike Pontti, registrar for new hollies at the National Arboretum, will provide advice on plant selection and care. Renee Frith, curator for woody plants at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, will provide advice on hollies for our area. Plantsman George McClellan of Brent and Becky's Bulbs will auction hollies and other plants sourced from specialty nurseries. Cost including lunch is $30. Preregistration by October 19 is necessary.
