James City Lions assist ROC Solid Foundation

Eight James City Lions recently traveled to Chesapeake, Virginia, Headquarters of ROC Solid Foundation, to assemble "Ready Bags" which will be gifted to children diagnosed with cancer. The mission of ROC Solid Foundation is to build hope for children battling cancer and their families by offering opportunities for them to do what they do best-play. James City Lion Jack Trotter (project leader) is shown presenting a $2,200 check to Eric Newman, founder of the non-profit foundation, for procurement of "Ready Bags". Combating childhood cancer is now one of the missions of Lions worldwide.
