James City Lions Club hosts "Cinco de Mayo" fund raiser

On Friday, May 4th, the James City Lions Club hosted a fun fund raising event at the Ford's Colony Country Club Pavilion. The highly successful "Cinco de Mayo" celebration was attended by more than 100 Lions and friends. The country club staff provided exceptional tapas. There were 70 raffle prizes which featured gift certificates from Williamsburg's finest restaurants and tickets to our best diversions (Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg and Ripley's Believe It or Not). Net proceeds will support the JC Lions sight, hearing, diabetes and childhood cancer programs. The Club wishes to extend a sincere "thank you" to those in attendance as well as the many generous sponsors. Lion Jack Trotter (pictured) headed the fundraising committee.
