James City Lions learn about cardiovascular disease

Dr. Vasudev Ananthram, who practices with Riverside Cardiovascular Health in Williamsburg, briefed James City Lions at a recent breakfast meeting. The briefing entitled "How not to have a heart attack" addressed risk factors as well as the key components to good heart health-eating right, exercising and not smoking. In the United States, someone has a heart attack every 40 seconds-the greatest risk factor is high cholesterol. Pictured (from left) with Ananthram are Lion Jack Reitz (club president), Neil Burns (Riverside Director of Marketing) and Lion Larry Bartholomew (program chairman).
