James City Lions learn about HEARTSafe Alliance

Members of the club were briefed about the Alliance by Adria Vanhoozier (Vice President, Riverside Doctors' Hospital) at a recent breakfast meeting. The main thrust of the Alliance is to raise awareness and strengthen the "chain of survival", such as by using CPR or defibrillators, for anyone living in and visiting the Greater Williamsburg area. The HEARTSafe program is a public health initiative designed to help people survive after sudden out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Pictured with Vanhoozier (from left) are Lions Steve Silvasy and Jack Reitz (club president).
