John Millar Speaks to the Williamsburg Chapter Sons of the American Revolution

John Millar, wearing the uniform of a Revolutionary War naval officer, spoke on Stephen Hopkins, who was four times governor of Rhode Island, a delegate to the Continental Congresses, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Hopkins was involved in founding the Continental Navy and in appointing its first Commander-in-Chief. He was also instrumental in the founding of what is now Brown University.
