KIWANIS CLUB LEARNS ABOUT DREAMCATCHERS

Tom Miller, President and Terry Jacoby, Development Director of Dreamcatchers, recently spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital. Both described how this non profit agency helps disabled children and young adults to overcome their difficulties as they learn to handle horses with the attentive help of volunteers. Terry has been involved with Dreamcatchers for a number of years and Tom said his love of horses incited him to offer his services in support of this worthy cause. Dreamcatchers has very few paid employees, but over 180 volunteers who give their time to help people who otherwise might be unable or afraid to accept the challenge of riding a horse. Dreamcatchers is located in Toano.
