Yorktown, VA - The Board of Directors and staff of Lackey Clinic are pleased to announce that Larry M. Trumbore, Jr. has accepted the position of Executive Director of the Clinic effective September 24th.
Funded by charitable foundations, corporate and individual donors, Lackey Clinic provides medical care to low income and uninsured residents of greater Williamsburg, James City County, York County, Poquoson and upper Newport News.
Mr. Trumbore follows Carol Sale who was selected as the Executive Director of the Williamsburg Health Foundation, a major contributor to Lackey.
Most recently Larry was the Living Hope International Project Manager for construction of an orphanage in Ndola, Zambia. He was responsible for the overall campus layout, building design and integration of contractors in the project.
Larry is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the Wharton School of Business. While in the US Army, Larry served in command positions and as an assistant professor of economics at his alma mater. His career includes management positions with International Paper Company, Case Corporation and Ford Motor Company. He also started a financial planning business and was the president of a company created to convert feedstock to ethanol. Prior to joining Living Hope International, Larry was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Cross Renovation, Inc., a general construction company in Michigan.
The Chairman of the Lackey Clinic Board of Directors, Robert Frady, stated: "Larry brings to the clinic a wealth of experience from both small startups to large multinational corporations that will greatly benefit the Clinic as it navigates the future of healthcare to our less fortunate residents of the Peninsula."
