The Historic First Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Virginia was founded in secret by slaves in 1776.
Its bell had not been heard for generations. But that all changed in 2016 when it rang out loud as a
symbol of Freedom in Washington D.C., for the opening of the National Museum of African
American History and Culture, by President Barack Obama. Come and be a part of history by
ringing the Freedom Bell at the National Historic First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, during the
month of February!
