Farm Animal Sanctuary Opens in Williamsburg
A happily ever after home for former farm animals
On October 5th, Life with Pigs Farm Animal Sanctuary opened in Williamsburg, VA. Located near the James City County Public Library, the pigs, chickens, and turkeys that call the sanctuary home will soon be welcoming visitors to come and meet them and see how happy they are that they didn't end up on anyone's plate.
Founder Ryan Phillips hopes to provide opportunities for people to both meet farm animals and hear their stories as well as providing educational opportunities including classes in plant-based cooking, humane education offering, and homeschool opportunities.
Volunteers are encouraged to reach out to them at and donations can be made at to help sponsor the care and housing of these animals.
Visiting hours and volunteer opportunities will be posted soon with a Thankful Turkeys Thanksliving Celebration being one of their first events. Follow them at
