The Williamsburg Youth Baseball League relies on sponsorship from its many business partners, so when the 2018 Babe Ruth season champions wanted to celebrate their success, they turned to the restaurant that emblazoned the back of their jerseys all summer. Tim Holland and Revolution Golf and Grille pulled out all the stops for the Pirates, setting them up with a full buffet, access to their virtual driving ranges, and the restaurant decorated in black and yellow. It was a fantastic finish to a great season in which the Pirates went 11-3 and outscored their opponents 133-69 in the Babe Ruth division, which features players between the ages of 13 and 16. The potent offense, which ended the year with a .368 team batting average and a .952 team OPS, was led by Jacob Chew who won the league batting title, Isaac Tucker and Sam Villeda, who were neck-and-neck with Chew for that title most of the year, Jed Volkman, who led the league in RBI and OPS, and Ethan Trahant, who hit the ball hard more consistently than anyone in the league all summer. On the mound, Brett Landino and Volkman were one-two in the league in both WHIP and ERA, while Villeda and Charlie Sabol also provided many key innings on the hill for the Bucs.
