The Williamsburg Music Club proudly presents the return engagement of acclaimed Israeli pianist, Rami Bar-Niv featuring his new program: "RAGTIME From Mozart to Bar-Niv, A Concert Lecture by Pianist Rami Bar-Niv. He will perform selections by Mozart, Schubert, Joplin, Gershwin and Bar-Niv.
Rami Bar-Niv graduated with honors from the Ron Conservatory and the Rubin Academy of Music. He won the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Competition and graduated from Mannes College of Music in New York, studying with Mme. Nadia Reisenberg. He is often sent abroad by the Foreign Ministry to represent Israel in concert, and has become an ambassador of goodwill for Israel. His own compositions have attracted a world-side audience. Mr. Bar-Niv offers music of great variety and contrast in style, and is an extremely versatile performer.
This program is supported and presented free to the community by the Williamsburg Music Club. The monthly meeting of the Williamsburg Music Club will begin at 10 a.m. with "Coffee and Conversation". 10:30 is the business meeting, followed by the program at 11 a.m. and is held in Lewis Hall of Bruton Parish, 331 Duke of Gloucester Street in downtown Williamsburg.
Mr. Bar-Niv will perform on the newly rebuilt Steinway B piano in Lewis Hall. This excellent piano was made possible by a grant from the EK Sloan Fund of Hampton Roads Community Foundation and a bequest from Bruton Parish member John Matherne.
