Riverside represented at Aging Roundtable on Aug. 12

On Aug. 12, Dr. Christy Jensen and Kim Weitzenhofer represented the Riverside Center for Excellence in Aging and Lifelong Health at an Aging Roundtable at Denbigh Community Center.

Congressman Bobby Scott, Bob Brink (Deputy Commissioner for Aging, DARS) and Edwin Walker (Deputy Assistant Secretary of Aging, AOA) held the meeting, made brief remarks and opened for discussion about vital issues related to aging in the region and country.

Less than 20 participants included Bobby Master (assistant to CEO Bay Aging); Mary Jane Kipper - Bay Aging; Colleen with SSSEVA, Hampton Redevelopment Housing, AARP, Food Bank, Bill Massey CEO PAA, Gerald Community Services (Nutrition and Transportation) PAA, Newport News Housing, Elder Law Attorney from Richmond, Thelma Watson, Richmond AAA Senior Connections and N.News APS.
