Senior Living Foundation hosts Casino Caring Caper

The Senior Living Foundation of Greater Williamsburg hosted a Casino Caring Caper fundraiser at Colonial Heritage's Clubhouse on Saturday, October 13. People turned our for a buffet, and evening of learning how to play Roulette, Black Jack and Steeple Chase. In addition to the games, there was a silent and live auction with Aaron Williams, owner of Aaron Williams Landscaping, served as the auctioneer. The proceeds from the fundraiser will support the Foundation's Senior Champions Program, a free adult day program for seniors with mild dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease, hosted at two sites: New Zion Baptist Church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Our Saviour's Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The foundation's next event is a Rummage Sale on Saturday, November 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Parish Hall of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Rummage item donations will be received on Friday, November 2 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Our Saviour's Parish Hall. For more information call 757-561-3093.
