Snakes alive during event at Freedom Park Interpretive Center

James Ewell of Reptile Ranch, and his assistant, Paige, shared their knowledge of our native reptiles as well as some exotic species of reptiles and snakes with a large group of children and adults last Saturday, July 25th, at the Freedom Park Interpretive Center.

Everyone was lucky enough to touch and even hold snakes, lizards, and a tortoise in this hands-on program, part of the Williamsburg Botanical Garden's Children's Programs. The next children's program will be on August 8th. Mark your calendar because Pam Burton and her friends from the Colonial Beekeepers Association will teach us all about bees! Come join us….we promise you won't get stung!
