Speaker highlights regional cemeteries

Members of the Reverend James Blair Chapter of the National Society Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century welcomed guest Kathy Walls Mountjoy to speak about regional historic cemeteries with an emphasis on the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond. Ms. Mountjoy shared stories, symbols and pictures in an effort to highlight the importance of cemeteries and how they reflect our history and traditions. Ms. Mountjoy is the group tour coordinator at the Smithfield and Isle of Wight Convention and Visitors Bureau. The Society seeks to preserve records and historic sites in addition to fostering interest in colonial historical research nationwide.
