Students at Veritas Preparatory School Excel at the National Latin Exam

Veritas Preparatory School is proud to announce that 16 of their students received awards for the National Latin Exam. Freshman Jenifer Fiorello received the Gold Summa Cum Laude award in the Latin III exam. Receiving Silver Maxima Cum Laude were Alexandra Gillette, Bernadette Badley, Quinconnor Baron, Suzanne Gregoire, Margaret Howerton, Michael Gibson, and Isabel Badley. Alexander Badley and Samantha Leftwich received Magna Cum Laude; Peter Cook, Nathaniel Howerton, Robert Badley, and Philip Badley received Cum Laude; while Aidan Gillette and Luke Brooks received Certificates of Merit on the Introduction to Latin exam.

This year 130,000 students nationwide took the National Latin Exam, which tests their knowledge of the language, history, and mythology of ancient Rome. At Veritas the students learn Latin through active engagement in reading, writing, hearing, and speaking the language. Our students' excellent performance on the NLE is a testimony to their hard work and our teachers' dedication.
