Super Turf Saturday –helps local residents create a better lawn

James City County/Williamsburg- The James City County Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) Turf Love Program stages two free educational programs per year for the public. The fall program, Super Turf Saturday, which will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015 at the James City County Recreation Center, addresses all aspects of lawn care from choosing the correct type of lawn seed to use as well as to how to properly maintain that seed to be successful while avoiding environmental damage to the James City County watersheds. In addition to the local expertise who will be on hand answering questions, the programming is pleased to include the Virginia Tech Turf Research Team as speakers. In addition, VCE James City County/ Williamsburg Master Gardeners and local turf businesses will display the latest technology they have to offer the homeowner.

Super Turf Saturday is on August 15th from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is held at the James City County Recreation Center (5301Longhill Road). Please pre-register by calling 564-2179 and leave a message with name, phone, and number attending.
