Yorktown, VA - The Lackey Clinic is hosting a "Share the Care" community outreach event on Thursday, July 25th from 3-7 pm for adults in the Williamsburg, James City County, York County, Poquoson and Newport News areas who do not have health insurance and need healthcare. The purpose of the event is to get the word out that Lackey Clinic has increased the Federal Poverty Level to 300% and that they are accepting new patients. Community residents can visit the clinic during this event and take a tour of the facility and see if they qualify to become a patient.
Lackey Clinic has been caring for the uninsured in our community for nearly 25 years. They have charity care agreements with all three area hospital systems. The Clinic seeks to build a bridge of healing and compassion to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the medically disadvantaged on the Peninsula. Services include medical, dental, behavioral health, spiritual care, medication and specialty clinics.
Event parking will be at the Clinic, with additional parking located at Charles Brown Park, with shuttle services provided by WATA. Guests can also enjoy free BBQ provided by Two Drummers, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, music by Been There Done That Band, giveaways and raffle prizes.
