The Toano Garden Club toured the Learning Garden at the Poquoson Museum, Poquoson. Development and maintenance of the garden was led by master gardeners Noel and Nancy Talcott with master gardeners from York County/Poquoson Virginia Cooperative Extension. Various means of gardening such as raised beds, Native American Garden, and adaptive gardening yield an abundance of beautiful flowers.
The club recently donated items to Williamsburg Hospice House from their wish list. Three encore azaleas were planted at James City Chapel Cemetery as a community beautification project.
The club will hold a bake sale Saturday, November 17, 9:00am to 2:00pm, at Tractor Supply parking lot, Norge, next to Farm Fresh. Proceeds will be used to continue community beautification projects.
