Union Baptist Women’s Day

Union Baptist Church will celebrate Women's Day on September 9th at 3:30.
Guest speaker for the occasion will be Beatrice J. Jackson of Covington, Georgia.
She is a native of Williamsburg.
Ms. Jackson is a graduate of West Virginia State University and earned a degree in Elementary Education. She pursued a career in Mass Communication and was hired as one of the first African American news commentators in West Virginia
Presently, she is the Executive Director of the Washington Street Community Center in Newton County, GA. Her passion is community outreach.
In 2012, Ms. Jackson was awarded the MLK, I Have a Dream Award.
She is an active member of St. Paul AME Church in Covington and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Music will be provided by the Women's Day Choir under the direction of
Ms. Gina Stukes.
