Union Mission of Norfolk visited Williamsburg donors

Thursday,June 28th found the Executive Director, Rev. John Gray, of the Union Mission in Norfolk at the Ford's Colony Country Club. In addition to the director, other members of the staff also attended. This was a thank you time for donors in Williamsburg. Attendees were shown a video highlighting the work of the mission and then each department head told of the work in their area. A special guest from the David Project told of where he came from and was headed to in life and then what attending the mission's program has done for him and how his life has been changed. The mission doesn't just help out the homeless, their goal is to help the homeless person get off the street and back into society. In addition to helping and training men, they also help women, even those with children. For more information about the Norfolk Union Mission 5100 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk.
