William & Mary's "Leadership by Design" Participants Volunteer at the Williamsburg ReStore

Participating in William & Mary's week-long "Leadership by Design Camp", nine high school juniors and seniors, from high schools across Virginia and beyond, volunteered at the Williamsburg ReStore. With the focus of the day on building community, they learned about Habitat for Humanity's mission and the role that the ReStore plays in building homes, communities and hope here in the Williamsburg and Greater Peninsula area..
Polishing mounds of silver, unloading trucks, and stacking merchandise, they were enthusiastic workers and it was a pleasure to have them volunteer with us. Of course, we hope to see them in a year or two headed for the College of William & Mary, but whatever their college of choice, we wish these bright young people well as they navigate their futures.
