As we transition into cold winter days the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists' reoccurring rides will become fewer and further in between. Ride cancellations happen when the "feels like" temperature dips below 40 degrees. These cancellations are decided by 7am each morning a ride is scheduled to occur. Members of the club receive email notifications of these updates, and non-members can find this information listed in the Ride Calendar section of the club's website. Once the weather consistently stays below 40 degrees the standing rides will be shelved until spring makes an appearance, but don't tuck yours bikes away just yet. "Pop-up" rides often occur if we have an unseasonable day. After all, this is southeast Virginia so we are bound to have a few lucky days for riding. Keep in mind if you do store your bikes away for the season there's always an opportunity to bring it back to performance shape at our annual Bikes Out of Hibernation event happening in the beginning of April.
