Women’s Charity Tennis Classic Donates $60,000

The Annual Women's Charity Tennis Classic (CTC) raised $60,000 for local nonprofit organizations. Even Hurricane Florence could not stop the dedication of Founder, Shirley Williams and Tournament Director, Karen Johnson who at the eleventh hour, moved from the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center to Kingsmill Tennis Club, making room for hurricane evacuees.

CTC celebrated 25 years in September and is the largest women's double tennis tournament on the peninsula. They donated to Avalon, CASA, Franciscan Brethren of St. Phillip and Latisha's House. Through the generosity of the community, the CTC has provided over $560,000 to local charities dedicated to serving women and children.
