Taijiquan and Qigong have many health benefits including improvement in balance and flexibility, lowering blood pressure, and much more. Harvard Medical School calls the practice "moving medication." Both are also wonderful mindfulness practices that can improve mental and emotional health and can also be thought of as moving meditation.
World Taiji and Qigong began in 1999 in Kansas City through the work of Bill Douglas and since then has been practiced yearly on the last Saturday in April beginning at 10 AM in every time zone of the world for 24 hours of continuous practice of peace and tranquility. One World, One Breath.
