If the Bears win the Super Bowl within the next four years, guard Kyle Long said he would skip a visit to President Donald Trump’s White House, too, just like his brother, Patriots defensive end Chris Long, said he plans to do.

But before you politics-weary sports fans jump all over him, Long joked about his reasons for not making the traditional trip to Washington unless former President Barack Obama was still in office.

“If I won the SB I would only go if B.O. was in there because I would wanna give him the business on the court!!! And I’ve got Area 51 Q’s,” Long tweeted Thursday afternoon.

“I don’t think Donald could answer my questions tbh and I think Michelle and BO would probably be a lot more chill to be around,” he continued.

Former Bear and current Patriot Martellus Bennett drew praise and criticism — usually along political lines — when he said he’s declining Trump’s invitation to the Patriots. Other Patriots expressed plans to bow out, though for different reasons.

Devin McCourty texted to Time magazine, “Basic reason for me is I don’t feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won’t.”

Chris Long tweeted that he planned on skipping the visit anyway, and seemed to imply it had nothing to do with a boycott.
