NWS: Gusty winds, chance for showers on Virginia Peninsula Wednesday

We'll have gusty winds and a chance for showers on the Virginia Peninsula Wednesday.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a chance for rain before 7 a.m. and a slight chance for showers afterward. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature near 50 degrees.

Winds will blow out of the west, 8 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Winds will slow overnight to about 11 mph. The temperature overnight will dip to a low about 35 degrees.
