NWS: Coastal flood advisory in effect for parts of Peninsula into Thursday evening

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook Wednesday afternoon until Thursday afternoon for Newport News, Hampton, York County and Poquoson.

A coastal flood advisory remains in effect until 3 p.m. Thursday. The Peninsula will have rain throughout the day Thursday, a wind around 9 mph and a high near 60. The day will be mostly cloudy.

Thursday night will be cloudy during the early evening and then gradually clear. The night will have a low near 44 and a wind around 12 mph.
