A James City County man faces criminal charges after his dogs attacked and injured three alpacas.
David Rudloff has been charged with two counts of dog injuring livestock, according to James City County Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.
On Oct. 17, James City County police officers were called to the 100 block of Jolly Pond Road for a dog attack, Williams said.
Three alpacas were injured in the dog attack — one seriously, according to Williams.
Animal control seized the two dogs, a mastiff mixed-breed and a pit bull mixed-breed, involved in the attack, Williams said.
The alpacas have recovered from the attack, according to Williams.
Rudloff lives one mile from the site of the attack, according to James City County property records.
